Homecoming!
Grandma Moore and Blake - coming down the hall to meet Jace
BAM with Buzz - what is taking JAM SO long to show up?
Dad Josh, Blake and BAM's new white horse pushing Jace back to the nursery
The Blogger - with Mitchell (L) and Uncle Josh (R)
Mom and Jace sharing a "moment"!
Uncle Mitchell and POP (yup Uncle Mitchell was working AGAIN!)
Jenelle must be on the mend, she is complaining about the food and the bed :-) Baby Jace is doing well, weighed in at 5# 10 oz, and is gaining an appetite. He appears to be a good sleeper and gets cuter every hour! We finally caught him with his eyes open :-) I am not convinced that he has blond hair - as reported by Granma Moore!
Jenelle has been cleared to be discharged, and they are waiting for Jace to be the same! Blake is very ready for his family to be HOME. We think he now considers himself a big brother, but sometimes he still says NO he is not - so maybe he thinks he will be when they all get home.

The day before

Jenelle and BAM - note that Buzz came too, and the eagle watching!
J2 headed to their pre-op and while they were being schooled on all the particulars of having a baby by C-section at the hospital, their doctor called to give them the great news that JAM's lungs looked GREAT (via the amnio results) that Jenelle could have the C-section tomorrow. I could hear the relief in her voice! I can not imagine being able to PLAN when you have a baby - but I do remember the anticipation with being ready to deliver a baby any time!
Josh had work to finish up - and I had planned to go to the Fairbanks fair with my friend Edie - so Jenelle came along - what else do you do the day before you have a baby? So we walked through the entire fair - which took about an hour - and then Jenelle humored me while I watched the quilts being shown.
A beautiful mural - so looks like Alaska in the fall!
POP and Colleen arrive tonight at midnight. Jenelle's time has been moved up to 9:30am, so we leave for the hospital at 7:30am in the morning. Sue (Josh's mom) arrived in town from Kenny Lake (5 hours south of us). Uncle Josh (Godfather of JAM) will be hand also. Uncle Mitchell stopped by this afternoon, fixed my vacuum cord (mine was pulling out - and since Mitchell had so much experience - he jumped in and fixed it). He works tomorrow (Fire fighting) but we hope his travels take him to the hospital.
Jeff and BAM will hang out until they come to the hospital to see everyone. I think everyone is as excited to watch BAM with his new baby brother as they are to see JAM! Keep us all in your prayers!

Birthday party set for August 13th!
Jenelle and Josh (J2) are on for the C-section tomorrow - August 13th at 9:30am. Baby JAM's lungs have matured in one short week to that of a 38 week baby. So all is a go! Am sure that J2 are so relieved, and so exciting that Jenelle and JAM have had such a busy week and have made such fantastic progress!
Oh my gosh, here comes grandson #3! :-) Keep J2B in all your prayers and good Karma thoughts.

Wednesday Aug 11, 2010 Update
POP is SO excited for another cousin!
Today Jenelle and Josh went to the imaging center for yet another amnio - Jenelle was not looking forward to it, but was prepared to tough it out as always. The good news is there was only one "poke", JAM is getting slower at moving around. So while she had more time before the test to stress and get anxious, the procedure went well and smoothly. Results come tomorrow - when we will find out if JAM's birthday will be Friday - August 13th or not.
J2 will go to their pre-op appt tomorrow morning, and then hopefully hear by noon or early afternoon whether the C-section will go as scheduled on Friday at noon.
BAM went to the Tanana Valley Fair with his daycare buddies and "Nana Barb" - 5 kids, 3 adults. They held chickens, had a goat jump up on them, saw horses, rode a carousal, had dots ice cream, cheese curds, crackers, and a wonderful afternoon at the fair! AND the boys were both wearing under pants and there were NO accidents despite all the excitement!
Colleen and Parker, and Tim and his dad Pat are all headed to Fairbanks for the weekend - Palmer HS plays Lathrop High School in football on Friday night - sure hope JAM's arrival works with everyone's schedules - TEE HEE HA HA - think he is making his own plans :-)
Josh's mom, Sue is driving up to Fairbanks tomorrow - so the gang will all be here - no pressure Jenelle :-)

The doctor said if JAM is not ready for Friday's C-Section than we might have to wait until Tuesday. Jenelle's kidneys remain stressed but she is taking a day at a time, and hoping for good news tomorrow!

Sunday
Jenelle and I were busy organizing, and when it came to vacuuming, Blake became very interested and wanted to help. So we lined him up with the vacuum cleaner, and moved on to sorting and organizing. Then Jenelle and I were moving buckets of clothes that BAM had outgrown to the driveway so that they cold be added to the menagerie of children's clothes that are kept at our house. BAM vacuumed and vacuumed and vacuumed, and then we heard the vacuum quit. Both Jenelle and I figured, oh yea, he probably pulled the plug out of the wall.
NOPE - he vacuumed over the cord until it was spliced! HOLY COW - he is a HARD CORE worker!
Uncle Mitchell to the rescue - he is busy replacing the cord to the vacuum cleaner with a cord that Jeff took off a broken vacuum at the dump!
Ta - da - it is always important to have a working vacuum cleaner when you are due to deliver a baby any day :-)
NO wait, and the boys decide to take the red cord off and replace it with the remaining good vacuum cord, am sure there is good logic in here somewhere!
Jenelle is hanging in there - she got a pedicure this morning, always important to have your feet looking good when you have surgery (An Aunt Shelley quote!)
So we are all well - I am having WAY too much fun making sure that I can blog and put pictures up, etc etc. That way I know I can do it under pressure too :-)

JAM Baby watch
Since we posted the coming of POP, it seemed appropriate that my blogging would begin again with the coming of JAM ~ Jace Allen Moore has been growing quite nicely in Jenelle's little incubator. They are all SURE that it is a BOY - I am holding out to look grandson #3 in the eyes to be sure! Jenelle's kidneys have been complaining about being pregnant, and it got especially bad this past week. After alot of test (some quite unpleasant for Jenelle), they discovered that her kidneys are not doing all that great, but that JAM is not ready for the outside world yet.
So as long as Jenelle does not get a fever, she can stay at home, but work is out of the question. So the plan is that Jenelle gets lots of rest, and they repeat the amnio test on Wednesday (August 11th) and if JAM is ready for the outside world he will be born on Friday, August 13th.
Jenelle and I had a great girls day out today - BAM spent the day with his dad - it has been awhile since I had my daughter all to myself - was great - so much fun, even if we just ran errands and tried to avoid the rain showers!
So stay tuned, and we will keep you up to date - we might just have another grandson in a week! So exciting!
